Statutory Rights
The following terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
Purchases
While we will make all reasonable steps to ensure that the prices, descriptions etc for items on the website are accurate, errors may creep in, and we do not provide a warranty for the correctness or suitability of the information and goods displayed. If an inaccuracy or error is discovered by us before dispatch of goods ordered, we are entitled not to fulfil the order. However, we will contact you as soon as possible by email to inform you of the correction that we need to make, and ask if you wish to continue with the order under the amended conditions, or to cancel the order. If the latter, we will refund the monies paid. No goods will be dispatched until paid for in full. If we have insufficient stock to fulfil your order, we will notify you as soon as possible normally by email, and offer you the option of cancelling or amending your order with pro-rata refund of monies already paid.

Free local delivery within 2km of The Village Bookshop, Terenure. Otherwise: €4 for orders up to 9kg
International Deliveries
€13 €2 per extra book
Delivery Policy
We will normally dispatch goods by An Post, but reserve the right to use other services if we deem it appropriate. We will always endeavour to dispatch goods within 2 working days of receipt of your order. Once the goods have left our premises we cannot accept any liability for late delivery. If for some reason we cannot do so, we will contact you as soon as possible by email and ask if you wish to continue with the order under the amended conditions, or to cancel the order. Please note that current Covid restrictions can affect postal deliveries.
Returns
We are happy to refund your purchase in full within 14 days, provided that it is returned to us as sold. All refunds will be issued in accordance with your original payment method. After 14 days but within 28 days we are happy to exchange the item for the other products or a credit note to the same value. In either case valid receipt must be provided as proof of purchase and original tags must be attached to gift items. If you have a gift receipt you are not entitled to a refund but you may exchange your gift as above for up to 28 days. *Goods purchased in December may be returned for exchange or credit up to the 31st of January. Exceptions: This policy does not extend to National Book Tokens, Village Bookshop Vouchers and Sale Goods. These purchases are not returnable.

We fully respect your right to privacy in relation to your interactions with the us and endeavour to be transparent in our dealings with you as to what information we will collect and how we will use your information. Also, we only collect and use individual’s information where we are legally entitled to do so. Information in relation to Personal Data collected by Irish entities is available on www.dataprotection.ie, the website of the Irish Data Protection Commissioner (“DPC”). We may collect Personal Data from you in the course of your ordering with us. The information that we process includes:
– Basic information, such as your name (including name prefix or title);
– Contact information, such as your postal address, email address and phone number(s)
Limitations
The website contains material which is owned or licensed to us, including the descriptions and graphics pertaining to an item. Reproduction of any material on the website is prohibited. The website must not be used for any purpose other than searching for a book or placing an order with us. Unauthorised use of the website may give rise to a claim for damages.
