The Croaghs – Na Cruacha – is a landlocked valley in the shadow of the Blue Stack mountain range in Co. Donegal. Cruach Mhín an Fheannta ( Crooveenananta ) is a townland named after one of the mountain peaks that ring this valley and was the home of a noted storyteller, Pádraig Eoghain Phádraig Mac an Luain (1885-1979). Séamas Ó Catháin collected these stories in 1972 and 1975, a few years before the death of this seanchaí at the age of 94.
